Dune Buggy Riding on the Dubai-Hatta Road
Many people picture the famous dunes beside the Dubai-Hatta Road, and our Al Awir camp sits right along that corridor. The Dubai-Hatta Road (the E44) is the main route south-east out of the city toward Hatta, and the desert around Al Awir and Lahbab lies along it. So the dunes you have seen from that road are exactly the kind we ride, close to the city end rather than the long drive to Hatta town itself.

What is the best time of day for a dune buggy ride?
The coolest, most comfortable slots are early morning and late afternoon to sunset. Sunset is the most popular as it pairs with a full safari evening, and night rides are possible on request. In the hotter months ride early or near sunset to avoid the midday heat.
How long does a dune buggy ride last?
Our standard ride is 30 minutes for AED 800, which is plenty of time to enjoy the dunes. If you would like a longer session, message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it and confirm the price clearly.
What is dune bashing, and is it worth it?
Dune bashing is riding up, down and across the sand dunes, a desert rollercoaster. In a buggy you do it yourself behind the wheel, protected by the roll cage and seatbelts; in our 4×4 safari a trained driver does it for you. It is one of the most loved parts of any desert trip, and well worth it, especially at sunset.

If we have to cancel, what happens?
A cancellation policy that covers your obligations but not ours is only half a document. Here is our side of it, in writing.
If we have to cancel your booking — for weather, a vehicle issue, or driver illness — we will contact you as soon as we know and rebook you at no charge on the next date that works for you. You pay nothing for the cancelled booking.
If we need to send a different vehicle than the one you booked, we will ask you first rather than turning up in something you did not book.
This is separate from your own cancellation rights, which are unchanged: you can cancel free up to 12 hours before pickup. Because we take no deposit and no booking fee, there is no money of yours sitting with us either way — nothing to chase, and nothing to wait for.
