Dubai Attraction Transfers: The Short Answer

A private car to any attraction in Dubai, with the driver waiting outside while you are in.

  • How much is a transfer to Burj Khalifa or the Dubai Mall?: We quote per attraction on WhatsApp rather than publishing one flat number, because the honest price depends on where you are staying and how long you will be inside.
  • Are child seats available?: Yes, on request at no charge. A foldable wheelchair travels in the Land Cruiser’s boot — tell us when you book so we send the right vehicle.
  • Does the driver wait while I am inside the attraction?: Yes, for as long as you are inside, at no extra charge. Waiting time, Salik tolls, fuel and parking are all included in the price we quote.
  • Why do you not publish prices for every attraction?: Because a single published number would be wrong for most people, and we would rather quote you accurately than advertise a figure that changes at booking.
  • Is the entry ticket included?: No. Buy tickets direct from the attraction so nobody adds a margin. Our price is the car, the driver and the waiting.

The one question nobody else answers

Your driver stays. For as long as you are inside. Not a drop-off, not a meter ticking in a car park, not a promise to “come back when you call”.

We read every operator ranking for this search before writing this page. One of the biggest publishes no price at all. Another publishes tidy fares and says only that a driver “can wait nearby if requested” — with no rate attached. Most of them leave waiting blank — though not all, and the exception is covered below. That is the entire product, and it is the thing they leave blank.

Waiting time, Salik tolls, fuel and parking are all included in our price. The number we quote you is the number you pay.

We charge one flat per-car price rather than publishing one flat number, because the honest price depends on where you are staying and how long you will be inside — and a made-up figure would be worth nothing to you. Send the attraction and your hotel on WhatsApp and you get a fixed number in writing before you commit to anything.

The other way to buy it — by the hour

If you are doing two or three places in a day, stop thinking in transfers and book the car itself. These prices are fixed and published.

The Dubai Mall on a weekend. Coming out and finding a ride at nine in the evening is the part people underestimate.

When you should not book this

One short visit near your hotel. If you are at a Downtown hotel going to the Dubai Mall for two hours, take a taxi. It will cost a few dirhams and parking is free at four hours anyway. We will tell you that on WhatsApp rather than take the booking.

You are happy on the Metro. The Red Line reaches Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Ibn Battuta directly, and it is cheap and fast. A private car earns its money when the Metro does not go there — Miracle Garden, Global Village, IMG, the Palm — or when you are carrying children, shopping or a wheelchair.

You want a guided tour. This is transport with waiting, not a tour. If you want the route explained and the stops chosen for you, book the Dubai city tour instead, from AED 699 per car.

A correction to what this page used to say

An earlier version of this page said that no operator ranking for this search tells you what waiting costs. That was true of the ones we had read. It is not true of all of them, and leaving it up would have been the easy thing to do.

OneClickDrive publishes it. Their own chauffeur page states car with driver in Dubai from AED 100 per hour for standard sedans, a full day of 8 to 10 hours typically from AED 600, and says plainly that complimentary wait time is included in the price and that airport bookings carry 90 minutes of free waiting. We read that page on 12 August. So the claim needed narrowing, and here it is narrowed: most operators on this search leave waiting blank, but not all, and the biggest of them is cheaper per hour than we are.

Where a competitor beats us on price

This is the honest arithmetic. Our car with driver is AED 250 per hour for a sedan or SUV with a four-hour minimum, so the smallest booking you can make with us is AED 1,000. Theirs starts at AED 100 per hour.

What you wantTheir advertised rateOursCheaper
Two hours, one attractionFrom AED 200Not sold — 4-hour minimumThem
Four hoursFrom AED 400AED 1,000Them, clearly
Full day, 8 to 10 hoursFrom AED 600AED 2,000Them

So if price is the only thing that matters to you, book them, not us. We are not going to pretend otherwise on our own page. What you are buying at our rate is a fixed vehicle and a named driver held for you for the whole block, no vehicle substitution, no reallocation to a closer job while you are inside a mall, and no separate negotiation when the day runs long. Whether that is worth two and a half times the hourly rate is your call, not ours, and for a lot of people it is not.

What the RTA actually publishes — and the one number nobody publishes

If you are weighing a car against a taxi, this is the part worth reading, because the official figures stop exactly where your question begins.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority publishes its taxi tariff on rta.ae. Read on 10 August, it lists a road pickup starting fare of AED 5 between 06:00 and 22:00 and AED 5.5 overnight, an airport taxi starting fare of AED 20 for a saloon and AED 25 for a van, and e-hail starting fares of AED 9 off-peak, AED 13 peak and AED 10 overnight. It states the fare formula as base fare plus kilometre charge plus waiting-time charge plus surcharges.

What it does not publish is the per-kilometre rate, the minimum fare, or the waiting-time charge itself. The formula names a waiting charge; the tariff page does not attach a number to it. We are not going to invent one, and you should be suspicious of any page that quotes you a precise dirhams-per-minute figure without linking to an official source. Check rta.ae yourself before you travel — tariffs change.

The practical consequence is simple. A taxi to Miracle Garden is cheap and knowable. A taxi waiting outside Miracle Garden for ninety minutes is neither, and the driver is very unlikely to agree to it at any price during a busy evening. That gap is the whole reason this product exists.

Three worked examples, with the awkward bits left in

Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, two adults, a weekday evening. Taxi in, taxi out. The ride is short and the meter is small. The problem is the exit: At The Top empties in waves, the mall taxi rank at that hour is a queue, and e-hail surge is at its worst in exactly that window. If you are relaxed about waiting twenty minutes for a car, take taxis — you will spend less. If you have a dinner booking, you want a car already parked.

Miracle Garden, a family of five, a Friday. This is where a taxi stops working. Five people do not fit one saloon, the garden sits away from the dense taxi supply of Downtown and the Marina, and you will be walking out with tired children at the same moment as several hundred other people. One vehicle that stays put is not a luxury here; it is the difference between leaving when you want to and standing on a kerb.

One attraction, two adults, plenty of time, tight budget. Take the Metro and a taxi for the last leg. We are the wrong answer and we will say so on the phone as readily as we say it here.

How waiting actually works with us

The driver parks and stays. He does not go and find another job. There is no per-minute charge running while you are inside, and no second fare when you come out — the waiting is inside the block of time you booked, which is why we sell it by the block rather than by the trip.

What that means in practice: if you book four hours and spend two and a half of them inside an attraction, that is fine and that is the product. If you come out and want to add a second attraction and it pushes you past the block, we will tell you the cost of the extra time before you get back in the car, not afterwards. Nobody should ever be surprised by a number at the end of the day.

For a transfer to a single attraction with the driver waiting, message us with the attraction, the date and the group size and we will quote it — that combination is priced case by case because the waiting length is the variable, and we would rather quote it honestly than publish a headline figure that does not survive contact with your actual plan.

Which vehicle you actually need

GroupVehicleLuggage or pushchairNotes
1 to 3SedanTwo cabin bags or one pushchairThe default, and the cheapest
4 to 5SUVComfortable with a pushchair and shoppingSame hourly rate as the sedan
6 to 7Land CruiserTight with seven plus large casesHigher hourly rate
8 or moreTwo vehiclesQuoted before you book, never after

The honest caveat on the Land Cruiser: seven seats and seven people’s shopping do not both fit. If you are seven adults heading to a mall, take two cars or accept that the third row will have bags on laps. We would rather say that now than have you discover it in a car park.

Questions people ask

Does the driver wait while I am inside the attraction?

Yes, for as long as you are inside, at no extra charge. Waiting time, Salik tolls, fuel and parking are all included in the price we quote.

How much is a transfer to Burj Khalifa or the Dubai Mall?

We quote per attraction on WhatsApp rather than publishing one flat number, because the honest price depends on where you are staying and how long you will be inside. You get a fixed figure in writing before you commit.

Why do you not publish prices for every attraction?

Because a single published number would be wrong for most people, and we would rather quote you accurately than advertise a figure that changes at booking. The hourly rates are fixed and published: AED 250 per hour sedan or SUV, 350 Land Cruiser, four-hour minimum.

Is the entry ticket included?

No. Buy tickets direct from the attraction so nobody adds a margin. Our price is the car, the driver and the waiting.

How much is parking at the Dubai Mall if I drive myself?

Free for the first 4 hours Monday to Thursday and 6 hours Friday to Sunday, then rising to AED 200 for 8 to 12 hours and AED 500 beyond that. Zabeel Parking and Fountain Views Parking are free. Rates read 11 August; check at the barrier.

Should I just take a taxi instead?

If it is one short visit near your hotel, yes, and we will say so. A private car with waiting earns its money for places the Metro does not reach, long days, and when you are with children, shopping or a wheelchair.

Can I visit more than one attraction in a day?

Yes, and if you are doing two or three it is usually better value to book the car by the hour: AED 250 per hour sedan or SUV, 350 Land Cruiser, four-hour minimum.

Do you go to Miracle Garden, Global Village and Garden Glow?

Yes. All three are seasonal and evening or morning specific, and we quote those on WhatsApp. The transfer never includes the entry ticket.

Is this a guided tour?

No. This is transport with waiting. If you want the route and the stops chosen for you, book the Dubai city tour instead.

Can you collect us from anywhere in Dubai?

Yes, any hotel or address in Dubai. Tell us the pickup point when you message.

Are child seats available?

Yes, on request at no charge. A foldable wheelchair travels in the Land Cruiser’s boot — tell us when you book so we send the right vehicle. We cannot carry a powered or non-folding chair.

Do you take a deposit?

No deposit and no card details when you book. You pay the driver on the day.

Is a private car cheaper than taxis for a day of attractions?

Usually not, if you only count the fare. Taxis are cheap per trip in Dubai and a competitor advertises a chauffeur from AED 100 per hour against our AED 250. A car becomes the better buy when the group is five or more, when you are carrying shopping or a pushchair, or when the cost of waiting on a kerb matters more to you than the fare.

How much does a taxi charge for waiting in Dubai?

The RTA publishes the starting fares and states that the fare formula includes a waiting-time charge, but it does not publish the rate for that charge, the per-kilometre rate or the minimum fare. Be careful with any page that quotes you an exact per-minute figure without an official source. Check rta.ae before you travel.

Will the driver actually wait, or will he leave and come back?

He parks and stays. He is not released to another booking while you are inside. That is the product, and it is why we sell blocks of time rather than single trips.

What happens if we stay longer than we booked?

We tell you what the extra time costs before you get back in the car. There is no surprise number at the end of the day.

Can you take us to more than one attraction in a booking?

Yes. Within the block you booked, stop wherever you like and in whatever order. If the plan grows past the block, you will hear the cost of the extra time first.

Do you charge for Salik tolls, parking or fuel?

No. Salik, parking and fuel are inside the rate. Attraction entry tickets are not, and we do not mark them up or book them for you.

Is there a minimum booking?

Four hours for the hourly car with driver. If you only need two hours for a single attraction, we are the wrong operator and an hourly chauffeur service or a taxi will cost you less.

Which vehicle do I need for five people with a pushchair?

An SUV, at the same hourly rate as the sedan. Seven adults plus large cases do not fit one Land Cruiser comfortably — that is two vehicles, quoted before you book.

Do you sell attraction tickets?

No. You buy tickets from the attraction, usually cheaper online and in advance, and we get you there and back. We do not take a commission from any attraction, shop or restaurant.

Can you collect us from the airport and go straight to an attraction?

Yes, and it is a common request on a long layover. Tell us your flight number and boarding time and we will build the day backwards from the time you must be back at the terminal.
