Open Dunes, Long Route, Guide With You — Not a Fenced Circle
Not every “quad biking Dubai” offer is the same ride. Many are a small fenced circle on a small bike, with staff watching from the side. Ours is a long route across the open desert dunes, and a tour guide rides with you the whole way. Before you book anywhere, check these things:
| What to check | What many operators sell | What we sell — AED 200 single / 300 double |
|---|---|---|
| Where you actually ride | A small marked circle near the fence | A long route across the open dunes |
| Terrain | Flattened track, same loop repeated | Real dune faces, climbs and descents |
| Guide | Staff watch from the side | A tour guide rides with you the whole route |
| Briefing & helmet | Varies — ask before paying | Always included, automatic bikes |
| Desert camp access | Usually not included | Our own camp — add the full safari & dinner from AED 35 |
| The question to send any operator | “Is the ride a fenced circle or an open-dune route, and does a guide ride with me?” If the answer is vague, that is your answer. | |

How much is quad biking in Dubai?
Quad biking in Dubai with us costs AED 200 for a single quad (one rider) and AED 300 for a double (two riders), per ride, on the dunes at our DTCM-licensed desert camp near Al Awir. Every ride includes a safety helmet, a full briefing and a guide, so complete beginners are fully supported. You can add quad biking to any desert safari, alongside dune bashing, a camel ride and a BBQ dinner, or simply come for a focused quad session.
The dunes at Al Awir are soft and beginner-friendly, and we also run rides on the taller red dunes of Lahbab on request. For your exact ride length and current availability, message us on WhatsApp, there is no deposit, and you pay on the day. Children can ride too, on a kids quad or as a passenger, so tell us their age and we will set up the safe option.
Quad Biking in Dubai, Done Properly
A quad bike, or ATV, is a four-wheeled off-road machine you ride and steer yourself, and on the open sand it is one of the most exciting things you can do in the Dubai desert. With us you are not booking through an agency or a reseller. We run our own camp on the golden dunes, so the bikes, the guides and the dunes are ours, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Most riders here are first-timers, and that is exactly who quad biking suits. After a short safety briefing and with a helmet on, you set off across gentle, rolling dunes with a guide nearby. It is thrilling without being frightening. The rest of this page covers the price, where it happens, how it compares to a dune buggy, what to wear, the safety rules, and honest advice on who should think twice, the things the big booking sites never tell you.

Add Quad Biking to a Full Desert Safari

The most popular way to enjoy quad biking is as part of a complete evening. You add the quad ride (AED 200 single or AED 300 double) on top of a desert safari, so your day includes dune bashing in a 4×4, your quad ride, a camel ride, sandboarding, a sunset stop, eight live shows and a BBQ buffet dinner. It is the full desert experience with the quad thrill built in.
| Safari base | From |
|---|---|
| Shared 4×4 safari (per person) | AED 100 + quad |
| Self-drive (own car, per person) | AED 35 + quad |
| Shared bus (per person) | AED 50 + quad |
| Private safari (own 4×4, up to 7) | AED 799 + quad |
See the full safari options on our Dubai desert safari hub, or the evening safari and private safari pages. Tell us on WhatsApp which base you want and that you would like to add quad biking.
Quad Bike vs Dune Buggy: Which Should You Choose?

This is the question real travellers ask most, and almost no operator answers it honestly. Both are brilliant; they just suit different people. A quad bike is one or two riders on an open machine you steer with handlebars, hands-on, exposed to the wind and the most affordable thrill. A dune buggy is a side-by-side vehicle with a steering wheel, seatbelts and a roll cage, more protected and easier if you are nervous or want to share with someone who would rather not drive.
| Detail | Quad bike | Dune buggy |
|---|---|---|
| You ride | Open quad, handlebars | Seated side-by-side, steering wheel |
| Protection | Helmet, open machine | Roll cage and seatbelts |
| Best for | Hands-on thrill, solo or double | Nervous riders, sharing, families |
| Capacity | 1 (single) or 2 (double) | Up to 2 |
| Effort | You balance and steer | More relaxed, car-like |
| Our price | AED 200 single / 300 double | AED 800 / 30 min |
Simple rule: if you want the cheapest, most hands-on thrill and you are happy to steer, choose the quad. If you want more protection, prefer to share with a partner or older child, or feel nervous, choose the dune buggy. You can also do both. If you are unsure, message us with who is riding and we will recommend the right one.
In-Circle vs Open-Desert Quad Biking

You may see operators offer two styles of ride, and it helps to know the difference before you book.
| Style | What it means | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| In-circle / marked area | Riding within a controlled, marked stretch of sand with the guide close by | First-timers, children, the most cautious riders |
| Open desert | Riding more freely out across the dunes with a guide leading | Confident riders who want a bigger thrill |
Our rides are always guided, so whichever style suits you, a marshal stays with the group. If you are brand new to quads, we keep it gentle and controlled; if you are confident and want more, we can open it up. Tell us your experience level on WhatsApp and we will match the ride to you.
Where Is Quad Biking in Dubai? Location and Map

Our quad biking takes place on the golden dunes of Al Awir, the closest true desert to central Dubai, around 35 to 45 minutes from most hotels. These soft, rolling dunes are ideal for quad riding, gentle enough for beginners but with plenty of space to enjoy. The camp is our own, licensed by DTCM. No other quad page in Dubai shows you exactly where to go, so here is the location on the map.
Open the camp location in Google Maps. Approximate drive times: Deira and Bur Dubai 30 to 40 minutes, Downtown and Business Bay 35 to 45, Dubai Marina and JBR 45 to 55, and Dubai Airport 35 to 45. For a full breakdown of routes and pickup zones, see our location and map guide.
Quad Biking on the Dubai-Hatta Road
Many people search for quad biking on the Dubai-Hatta Road, and the good news is that our Al Awir camp sits right along that corridor. The Dubai-Hatta Road (the E44) is the main route heading south-east out of the city toward Hatta, and the desert around Al Awir and Lahbab lies along it. So if you have seen the famous dunes beside the Hatta road and want to ride them, our camp is exactly the kind of spot you are picturing, close to the city end of that route rather than the long drive to Hatta town itself.
For taller, dramatic red dunes a little further along the same road, we also run rides at Lahbab, the famous Red Dunes. Lahbab quad experiences are arranged on request, so message us on WhatsApp if you specifically want the red dunes.
Is Quad Biking in Dubai Safe? Age, Licence and Beginners

Quad biking with us is safe and beginner-friendly when you follow the briefing. Every rider gets a helmet and a clear safety talk before setting off, and a guide stays with the group throughout. The dunes at Al Awir are gentle, the pace is yours, and you can stop whenever you like. Most of our riders have never been on a quad before.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Do I need a driving licence? | No. For guided quad riding at the camp, no driving licence is required |
| Is it hard to ride? | No. A quad is easy to control; the briefing covers everything and a guide is with you |
| Can beginners do it? | Yes. Beginners are exactly who quad biking suits; we keep the pace gentle |
| Can children ride? | Yes, on a kids quad or as a passenger; tell us their age so we set up the safe option |
| Is there a guide? | Yes, a guide stays with the group the whole time |
| What about safety gear? | A helmet is provided for every rider and fitted before you ride |
There is no rigid public age limit for riding as a passenger or on a kids quad, but for the safety of younger children we always ask their age in advance so we can recommend the right setup. If anyone in your group has a health concern, tell us and we will advise.
Who Should Think Twice About Quad Biking

No big booking site will tell you this, but we would rather you have the right experience. Quad biking suits most people, but a few should plan carefully or choose a gentler option such as the dune buggy or the camp experience.
| If you… | Our honest advice |
|---|---|
| Are pregnant | We do not recommend quad biking; enjoy the camp, dinner and shows instead |
| Have back, neck or joint issues | Riding over dunes can jolt; consider a dune buggy or skip it, and tell us first |
| Are a very young child | Ride as a passenger on a double or a kids quad, never alone; tell us the age |
| Are very nervous | A dune buggy is more protected and may suit you better |
| Have a heart condition or recent surgery | Please consult your doctor; let us know so we can advise |
| Want extreme high-speed riding | Our focus is safe, guided fun on gentle dunes, not racing |
Most concerns are easily solved by telling us in advance or choosing the buggy. A quick WhatsApp message before you book is all it takes, and we will be honest with you about the best option.
What to Wear and Bring for Quad Biking

Dress for sand and sun. Closed shoes are best for riding, and light, breathable clothes that you do not mind getting dusty. Sunglasses keep the sand out of your eyes, and sunscreen is essential by day. For evening rides, bring a light layer, as the desert cools quickly after sunset, especially from November to March.
| We provide | You bring |
|---|---|
| Safety helmet | Closed shoes (not sandals) for riding |
| The quad and a guide | Sunglasses and sunscreen |
| Full briefing | Light, dust-friendly clothing |
| Washrooms and seating at the camp | A layer for the cooler evening |
For a complete seasonal outfit guide, including what women and families should wear, see our what to wear guide.
Best Time and Timings for Quad Biking

Quad biking runs year-round, but the most comfortable times are the cooler parts of the day. In the hotter months (roughly May to September) early morning or the late-afternoon and sunset slot are far more pleasant than midday. From October to April the desert is comfortable for much of the day. The late-afternoon ride is the most popular, because it pairs naturally with the sunset and a full safari evening.
| Slot | Why choose it |
|---|---|
| Morning | Cool air, soft light, quieter dunes |
| Late afternoon / sunset | The most popular; pairs with sunset and the safari evening |
| Cooler months (Oct-Apr) | Comfortable through much of the day |
| Hotter months (May-Sep) | Ride early morning or near sunset to avoid the heat |
If you are combining quad biking with a desert safari, your timing follows the safari pickup, which shifts a little with the season so you reach the dunes for sunset. See exact pickup times by month in our timings guide. Tell us your preferred slot on WhatsApp and we will confirm availability.
Quad Biking Tips for First-Timers
If this is your first time on a quad, a few simple things make the ride smoother and safer. None of it is complicated, the guide covers it all in the briefing, but it helps to know in advance.
- Listen to the full briefing, it covers the throttle, brake and how to lean on the dunes
- Start slow, there is no rush; build up your speed only as you get comfortable
- Keep both hands on the handlebars and stay seated, especially going up and down dunes
- Follow your guide and keep a safe distance from other riders
- Keep your phone secure; stop the quad before taking any photos
- Tell the guide at once if anything feels uncomfortable, you can stop any time
Do these and a first-timer can ride confidently within minutes. If you would rather watch before you ride, you can always start with the dune buggy or the camp and step up to a quad once you feel ready.
All Add-Ons and Prices

Quad biking pairs with everything we offer at the camp. Every add-on is optional and priced openly, add any you like and just tell us on WhatsApp when you book.

|---|---|
| Single quad bike | AED 200 |
| Double quad bike | AED 300 |

Why Book Quad Biking Direct With Us

The big booking sites add a commission and send you to whichever operator pays them. We are the operator. We run our own camp on the golden dunes near Al Awir, our own quads and our own guides, so you get the real price, honest answers, and someone who actually knows the dunes you are riding.
| Booking direct means | What you get |
|---|---|
| No agency commission | The real price, from AED 200 |
| No deposit | Pay on the day at the camp |
| Honest, fast answers | You message the team running your ride |
| Flexible plans | Add a safari, a buggy or photos easily |
More than 5,000 guests have ridden and travelled with us. When other quad pages hide their pricing or are riddled with errors, our plain, honest pricing is the clearest sign you are dealing with a real operator.
What to Check Before Booking Quad Biking Anywhere
If you are comparing quad-biking options in Dubai, a few quick checks save you money and hassle. First, is the price shown in full, or hidden behind an enquiry? Second, is a helmet, briefing and guide actually included, or charged as extras at the dunes? Third, are you booking the operator or a reseller adding commission? Fourth, can they tell you exactly where you will ride and adjust it to your experience and your children? And fifth, is there a deposit, or do you pay on the day? A confident, real operator answers all five plainly. We have built this page to answer them before you even ask, because that openness is the difference between a trustworthy desert ride and an expensive surprise.

Quad Biking Dubai: FAQs
Single Seater or Double Seater — and Who Can Actually Ride Behind You
This is the question that decides the booking for most families, and almost no quad page on this search answers it. A single seater carries one rider. A double seater has a longer chassis, a wider seat and a rear grab rail, and it is the only legal way to carry a passenger — you cannot simply put a child on the back of a single.
| Single seater | Double seater | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it suits | One adult riding alone | An adult plus one passenger who is tall enough to reach the footrests |
| Price | AED 200 | AED 300 |
| Handling | Lighter, turns quicker | Heavier, slower to turn, more stable in a straight line |
| On soft sand | Easier to correct if it digs in | Takes more throttle to pull two people out of soft sand |
| What it does not solve | — | A passenger too small to hold on is not safe on either machine, at any price |
If your child is too small for the rear seat, the honest answer is that they wait at the camp rather than ride. We would rather tell you that now than at the dunes with the machine already paid for.
Insurance, Damage and the Question Nobody Puts on Their Website
Quad bikes get dropped. It is the most common way a cheap ride becomes an expensive one, and almost every operator on this page is silent about it — which is exactly why you should ask before you hand over money, whoever you book with.
| Ask this | Why it matters | What a straight answer sounds like |
|---|---|---|
| Am I liable if the bike is damaged? | Decides whether a tip-over costs you nothing or thousands | A clear yes or no, with the amount if yes — not “don’t worry” |
| Is there a deposit or a card held? | Some operators take one at the dunes, after you have travelled | Told before you leave the city, not on arrival |
| Is third-party cover included? | Matters if you hit another rider | Named cover, or an honest “no” |
| What if I stop early? | Thirty minutes is thirty minutes on the machine | Whether unused time is refunded, in writing |
| Who briefs me, and for how long? | A two-minute briefing is where most incidents start | A named guide, a real briefing, brakes tested before the dunes |
Our own terms are confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay, in writing, so you have them on your phone rather than in someone’s memory. If any operator will not put their damage policy in a message, that is your answer about the operator.
How much does quad biking in Dubai cost?
With us, a single quad is AED 200 and a double quad (two riders) is AED 300, per ride, including a helmet, a briefing and a guide. You can add it to any desert safari or ride on its own. For your exact ride length and availability, message us on WhatsApp; there is no deposit and you pay on the day.
What is the cheapest quad biking option in Dubai?
Our single quad at AED 200 is our most affordable quad ride. If you want the cheapest full day out, adding a single quad to a self-drive safari (from AED 35 per person, your own car) keeps the total low while still giving you the desert evening. Tell us your group and we will work out the best-value combination.
Where is quad biking in Dubai located?
On the golden dunes of Al Awir, the closest real desert to central Dubai, around 35 to 45 minutes from most hotels, on the Dubai-Hatta Road. We also run rides on the taller red dunes of Lahbab on request. The exact camp location is shown on the map on this page.
Can you do quad biking on the Hatta road or near Hatta?
Yes. Our Al Awir camp sits along the Dubai-Hatta Road (the E44), the same corridor where the famous roadside dunes are, close to the city end rather than the long drive to Hatta town. If you specifically want the red dunes further along, we arrange Lahbab rides on request.
What is the age limit for quad biking in Dubai?
There is no rigid public age limit for riding as a passenger or on a kids quad, but for safety we always ask a child’s age in advance so we can recommend the right setup, a kids quad, a passenger seat on a double, or a guided gentle ride. Just tell us their age on WhatsApp.
Do I need a driving licence for a quad bike or dune buggy?
No. For guided quad biking and dune-buggy rides at the camp, no driving licence is required. A full safety briefing is given before you ride, and a guide stays with the group.
What is included in a quad biking tour?
Every ride includes a safety helmet, a full safety briefing, a guide who stays with you on the dunes, and the quad bike itself. Hotel pickup, professional photos and combining your ride with a full desert safari are all available as optional extras; just ask when you book.
What should I wear and bring for quad biking?
Wear closed shoes (not sandals), light clothes you do not mind getting dusty, sunglasses and sunscreen. Bring a light layer for the cooler evening, especially from November to March. Everything else, helmet, guide and washrooms, is provided. See our what to wear guide for a full seasonal breakdown.
Is quad biking in Dubai safe, and is it easy for beginners?
Yes. A quad is easy to control, you get a helmet and a clear briefing, the dunes at Al Awir are gentle, and a guide stays with the group. Most of our riders are first-timers. You set the pace and can stop whenever you like.
Quad bike vs dune buggy, which should I choose?
Choose a quad if you want the cheapest, most hands-on thrill and are happy to steer (AED 200 single, AED 300 double). Choose a dune buggy if you want more protection, prefer to share with a partner or older child, or feel nervous (AED 800 for 30 minutes). You can also do both; message us and we will recommend the right one for your group.
What is the difference between in-circle and open-desert quad biking?
In-circle riding stays within a controlled, marked stretch of sand with the guide close by, ideal for first-timers and children. Open-desert riding takes you more freely across the dunes behind a guide, for confident riders who want a bigger thrill. Our rides are always guided, so we match the style to your experience.
Do you offer hotel pickup and drop-off?
Yes. We can arrange hotel or home pickup and drop-off across Dubai, especially when you combine quad biking with a desert safari. Tell us your hotel or area on WhatsApp and we will sort out the transfer.
What are the timings and best time of day for quad biking?
Quad biking runs year-round. The coolest, most comfortable slots are early morning and late afternoon to sunset, the sunset slot is most popular as it pairs with a full safari evening. In the hotter months ride early or near sunset to avoid midday heat. See exact safari pickup times by month in our timings guide.
Can quad biking be combined with a desert safari?
Yes, and it is the most popular choice. Add a quad ride (AED 200 single or AED 300 double) to a safari and your evening includes dune bashing in a 4×4, the quad ride, a camel ride, sandboarding, a sunset stop, eight live shows and a BBQ buffet dinner. See our Dubai desert safari hub for the safari options.
What is the cancellation or refund policy?
Because there is no deposit, your risk is low, you simply confirm on WhatsApp and pay on the day. If your plans change, message us as early as you can and we will do our best to reschedule. We will always be straight with you about timing and availability.
How do I book for tomorrow, and what payment methods do you accept?
Message us on WhatsApp at +971 58 228 2683 with your date, riders and whether you want single or double, and we will confirm quickly, often for the next day. You can pay in cash on the day or by bank transfer; there is no deposit required.
Are photos included?
A helmet, guide and briefing are included, but professional photography of your ride is an optional add-on (AED 50 to 150). You are very welcome to bring your own phone or camera; just keep it secure while riding. Tell us if you would like a photographer when you book.
Who should not do quad biking?
We honestly recommend against quad biking if you are pregnant, and you should take care or choose a dune buggy if you have back, neck or joint issues, a heart condition, or recent surgery. Very young children should ride as passengers or on a kids quad, never alone, and nervous riders often prefer the buggy. Tell us your situation and we will advise the safest option.

If we have to cancel, what happens?
A cancellation policy that covers your obligations but not ours is only half a document. Here is our side of it, in writing.
If we have to cancel your booking — for weather, a vehicle issue, or driver illness — we will contact you as soon as we know and rebook you at no charge on the next date that works for you. You pay nothing for the cancelled booking.
If we need to send a different vehicle than the one you booked, we will ask you first rather than turning up in something you did not book.
This is separate from your own cancellation rights, which are unchanged: you can cancel free up to 12 hours before pickup. Because we take no deposit and no booking fee, there is no money of yours sitting with us either way — nothing to chase, and nothing to wait for.
