What that means in practice: the AED 20 airport flagfall plus ~35–40 km to the Corniche puts a typical airport→city run around AED 85–100 on the meter, traffic depending; Yas Island is closer and cheaper; the 150 km run to Dubai is a different animal entirely — that one has its own fare page.
Where the Taxis Actually Are at Terminal A
Follow the taxi signs from arrivals — the rank sits kerbside outside the arrivals concourse and runs around the clock. Wheelchair-accessible and larger vehicles operate in the fleet, and at peak arrival banks a marshal manages the queue. You do not need to book: rank taxis are metered walk-ups. Booking by app or phone adds the AED 4–5 fee.
Leaving AUH for Dubai — Your Three Options
If all you need is a one-way drop and you are travelling light, take the metered taxi or the bus. Our fixed car costs more than the meter on this run, and we would rather tell you that here than after you have paid. It earns its price when there are several of you, when there is luggage, or when you need the car to wait and bring you back.
